To anyone paying attention in the West, the 2024 Election results might appear — on the surface — displeasingly similar to a familiar past.
However — the “surface” sucks. That’s never where the good stuff is, and it’s definitely not where hope lives.
Diving deeper, we can see this event much more clearly — and optimistically — as evidence that our level of collective consciousness is actually increasing. What we’re witnessing is actually the evolution of the human species regaininc consciousness, and coming back to intuition from a long history of being controlled by institutions.
As humans, we have a choice: to focus our attention on the physical world (the “3D” — what we can perceive solely by physical senses), or the metaphysical world (the “5D” — what we can perceive interpsychically, when your consciousness is more developed.
If your attention is focused toward the 3D, you will invariably decide that what you’re seeing in modern culture is a gongshow. “Why happen? How survive? What do?!”
The 5D, “fifth dimension,” is the “something more” that many people sense, but don’t necessarily believe in. Fortunately, science and spirituality are catching up with each other, and we’re coming to understand that there’s more than what meets the eye. That maybe, “the government” isn’t as important or influential as we’ve been lead to believe.
This is great news in the wake of an election like this one.
As consciousness shifts from 3D to 5D, you can be said to “see the forest for the trees.” You can identify illusion. When this happens, you’ll start to see the physical more clearly as a product of the 5D. You will understand that what you see is not all there is. This is true both on a micro (personal) level, and at the macro (collective) level.
Though it might look like history is repeating itself, the collective mindset is changed. We might feel like we’ve seen this before — but our collective reaction has been very different, based on my own observations — and that sort of spiral demonstrates exactly how consciousness evolves.
The evolution of consciousness is slow and circular. It’s not a linear climb: it’s a “been-here-before-but-I’m-different-now” spiral. When the “same” obstacle is encountered over and over again, it’s actually an opportunity for growth. If the response to the obstacle changes — let’s say we choose acceptance over helplessness — we emerge from the encounter stronger than before.
To my eye, this is exactly what is happening on a collective scale.
In 2016, the election aftermath really felt like “an aftermath.” It was mass devastation: shock, surprise, depression, anger, and a whole lot of finger-pointing. “How could we let this happen? How could anyone be so [redacted]?”
Now, in 2024, I’ve witnessed a completely different reaction. And it makes sense: we’ve changed. The Western collective has encountered much more pressure than we had in 2016: we’ve witnessed the pandemic, BLM, the Brett Kavanagh debacle, even Heard v Depp — and with each event, we’ve learned a little more. We’ve widened our perspective, whether we wanted to our not. We’ve heard more people’s stories, been forced to self-examine, and experienced more tension. Our collective perception of the world has increased in complexity as more and more people “wake up.”
We were ready for this election.
We’re just not where we want to be — yet.
The anger this time is much less “how could this happen?!” and much more “ah, yes — we’ve seen this before, and we’re angry, but we’re going to keep moving forward so we can ensure that we never see it again.”
Our anger is patient. Methodical. It’s aware, also, that this isn’t the end of the world. We’ve survived a great deal since 2016, and we won’t stop now. We’re aware, this time, that the government is not the highest power.
This is a strong sign of spiritual maturation.
Most people might not be aware of this happening, but we’re actually starting to believe in ourselves. We’re shedding the collective victim-mentality of “oh no, the government” and moving into an empowered “hey, wait. This is broken. Let’s fix it.”
The vibrational scale represents levels of consciousness, and can be used to explain human reactions to the election. Humans will attach more (or less) fear to the outcome of an election depending on who they believe is ultimately in control — higher powers that be, or human institutions they can see.
The higher levels of consciousness (“Spiritual” and “Enlightened”) are focused on the 5D — the world unseen. Basically, at this level of consciousness, the guiding force is intuition and the “inner self.” At this level, there is full awareness that our lives are governed by a higher power — not the government.
The lower levels, however (“Logical” and “Egoic”) are focused on the 3D — the physical world. These are the people full of dense, unprocessed emotions and fear-based thoughts who are always talking about taxes, the economy, and who largely believe that the major news networks are a source of truth, not just anxiety.
There is no “good” or “bad” here, although in my experience, a low-vibrational mindset will definitely make life feel much harder, less interesting, and scarier.
I see the post-election reaction, at least in my world, as an evolution because it reflects the fact that many people have shifted from a victim mentality (“I’m at the mercy of the government, and all the people who don’t understand how to influence it”) to understanding that “the government” does not have ultimate control over any of us. That, zooming out, this is just another milestone in the conscious-evolutionary spiral.
The more people move to a higher level of conscious awareness, the more progress we’ll see in each election — but I think we’ve finally reached the level where we’re beginning to understand that finger-pointing and blame won’t help us get there any faster.
Our collective consciousness is evolving; it’s just slow, because it’s not a linear climb. It’s a spiral; a Rubiks cube; a spine, where each vertebra must be conscious enough of the role it plays for the whole to move as one.
As our collective understanding of “The Work” (that is, the personal development required to move from institution-led to intuition-led) results in more and more people taking up the task of healing and raising their consciousness, we’ll see more and more evidence in the collective that we understand we are one.
This is referred to as “Unity consciousness.”
If everyone is fighting, no one wins — because it’s only when we let go, accept what is, and allow ourselves to rise that we reach a higher level of consciousness. The election reaction indicates we’re moving from binary into multidimensional consciousness. (This has been happening for quite some time as institutions are dismantled, but it’s a long-game process — with race, gender, class, etc.)
The human species is still a caterpillar. We’ve been steadily building a chrysalis.
The more we invest in our personal power, keep our feet on the ground, and our eyes on the stars as we move up the spiral in consciousness — the better chance we’ll have of being a butterfly by next election. 🦋✨
Thank you for reading! This week, I have more thoughts on the election (and Unity Consciousness) on my Instagram. I also talk more about this on my podcast, LET’S GET METAPHYSICAL. I can’t overstate my appreciation for your support of my work!
